Promo Codes

Discount codes only your direct guests get

Run percentage or fixed discounts on your own booking engine — never on Booking.com or Hostelworld. Set limits, dates and minimum nights; Travel404 enforces every rule automatically.

Promo Codes
  1. Create a code in seconds

Percentage or fixed — your call

Set a discount type and value, a validity window, a minimum stay and a usage cap. Toggle a code off without deleting it, and reuse the same code once it expires.

    • Percentage or fixed-amount off
    • Valid-from and valid-until dates
    • Minimum-nights requirement
    • Usage cap, then it just stops

  2. Applies at checkout

Guests redeem it, you see it land

A code guests enter at checkout is checked against their actual arrival date — not the day they happen to be booking — so a code for an October stay works fine in September.

    • Checked against arrival date
    • Case-insensitive matching
    • Rejected codes explain why
    • Booking Engine only, never OTA
    Applies at checkout
  3. Beyond percentage-off

Gift cards live right next to codes

Sell prepaid stays as gift cards, hold a balance that draws down over time, and manage promo codes under Coupons and gift cards under Extras, both inside Booking Engine.

    • Percentage or fixed

Choose a % off or a flat amount in your property's own currency.

    • Self-enforcing rules

Expired, exhausted or too short a stay — Travel404 rejects it before your staff has to.

    • Gift cards

Sell a prepaid balance with an expiry date and a personal message for the recipient.

    • Direct-only leverage

A discount only your own website can offer — no OTA can match it.

Common questions

Can a promo code be used on a Booking.com reservation?

No. Promo codes only validate inside your own Booking Engine checkout — Booking.com, Hostelworld, Expedia and every other channel never see them.

What date does Travel404 check when a guest applies a code?

The stay's arrival date, not the day the guest happens to be filling out the form. A code set to start in October works for an October booking made in September.

Does it matter if a guest types the code in lowercase?

No — matching is case-insensitive, so SUMMER25 and summer25 are treated as the same code.

Can I cap how many times a code gets used?

Yes. Set a max-use count and Travel404 stops accepting the code automatically once it's hit — no manual monitoring needed.
